Wide bodykits are themed on the popular lemans and other race cars. A standard car body is flared out to make way for wider wheels and a wider wheelbase.

This Mercedes has a distincitve wide bodykit which has become a feature of the car rather than just bolting on some wide arches. The sills and even doors carry on most of the width the length of the car.

The rear wheel is wider than the front and you can see from the photo below that it has a deep dish with much of the wheel extending beyond the line of the hub.
