The Mitsubishi 3000GT (uk) or GTO (international) models come with popup headlights. Some consider popup headlights to be old school and out of date. Manufactuers have also started to switch from popup headlights to meet safety ratings.

Car tuning

There is nothing stopping  you from doing this yourself. Beacause of the original design the lights have to come up higher than the bonnet line but as you can see from these pictures they can look quite effective. Instead of 1 single headlamp this owner has gone with a twin headlamp arrangement.

    Just buy a Mazda RX-7 headlight kit from eBay and customize it to fit your 3000GT/Stealth. I did that with mine and I think that it looks better than the one pictured above.

    Try a chap called Country Bumpkin on the TorqueCars forum http://www.torquecars.com/forums/f8/back-road-last-my-gto-9021/#post85568 he is GTO specialist and may even be able to supply some or at least point you all in the right direction.
