Just in case you forget what model of car you are driving you could always get a stencil cut in the wing. Why bother with shapeless vents when you have the option of a word, numbers or lettering? Instead of leaving a large hole a high quality weather resistant steel mesh has been added which actually just enhanced the look further. There is no reason why you couldn’t paint the mesh either to match or in black to hide it.
