Side skirt with a mesh vent

Most show cars have bodykits fitted. This one is no exception and has an interesting pair of skirts fitted. The original intention of skirts is to restrict airflow under the car and allows greater cornering speeds. This pair, like many others are fitted with vents to the rear. The object of this is to allow air to cool the rear brake disks. In show cars a flat skirt can look very boring so we are seeing many interesting designs like the organic curves on this one. Rather than just leaving a hole to the rear of the skirt it looks much better with a mesh insert. This can be painted or left metallic and is certainly upto individual taste. The 5 spoke alloys are also worth a  mention as a nice set of wheels really finishes off a car.
