When fitting larger wheels you should aim to keep the same overall rotational diameter.

This can be achieved with low profile tyres and means that whilst the alloy wheel is much larger the overall roational size is kept similar. Lowering the car will also help the wheel to fill the arches a little better. You have to check for clearance though as bodywork snagging on the wheel can cause high speed blowouts and premature tyre wear.
